What are Synthetic Dreadlock Extensions?
Synthetic Dreadlock Extensions are made from a synthetic fiber (hair). There are many different brands of synthetic hair that can create different textures of dreadlock extensions. Not all dreadlock extensions are created or look the same. Every dreadlock artist has their own technique and has their own style. I have developed many different ways of creating dreadlock extensions. I do not use the crochet method. I have developed a way to make dreadlock extensions that create a smooth and soft dreadlock that is very flexible and comfortable to wear with minimal itching and scalp irritation.
The Dreadlock Extensions that I create are temporary and not damaging to your hair AT ALL. Your hair is simply braided onto the outside of the dreadlock extension and secured with an elastic band.
Dreadlock Extensions can be worn for a couple of months. My personal suggestion is 4-6 weeks.
You remove the dreadlock by cutting the elastic band and unbraiding your hair from the extension.
You CAN wash your hair normally WHILE the dreadlock extensions are installed. They will seem a little heavy when wet, but the water drains from the dreadlocks very quickly. You CAN use a hair dryer on LOW heat to help dry them after washing or swimming.
Honestly, once installed, LIVE YOUR LIFE, and let the dreadlocks do their thing. Each one will change slightly and take on their own personality as they continue to lock tighter which makes them look better and better each time you wear them.
